Academic Background
A Computer Systems Engineer (1990), he holds a Master's in Science with a specialization in Distributed Systems (1992). He is an ontological coach certified by The Newfield Group (1995) and holds a diploma in Digital Marketing from Tecnológico de Monterrey (2014). Additionally, he is certified by the Zappos Institute in Customer Service Experiences (2017), Business Analytics by the University of Texas at San Antonio, USA (2021), and Marketing by Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA (January 2024). Both post-doctoral certifications were obtained through the "Bridge Program" at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
Professional Experience
He held various academic positions at Tecnológico de Monterrey, including executive director of the Santiago de Chile campus. He has also served as director of the Fundación Comunitaria del Bajío IAP, director of IT for the Querétaro State Government (SEDESU), co-founder of SED NOVE (a digital literacy initiative), and director of educational media at the Institute of Educational Technology Research (INITE), where he oversaw the creation of Mexico's first 100% online private university (UTEL).
Currently, he is a partner and senior consultant for market intelligence, innovation projects, and intrapreneurship at AlCe Mkt, a boutique business intelligence agency. His client portfolio includes the Advanced Research Center of Querétaro (CIATEQ), the Querétaro State Government, the Municipality of Querétaro, Case-New Holland de México (CNH), and Clínica de Cardiología Vitruvius, among others. He is a full-time professor and coordinator of the Business Analytics program at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Querétaro campus, as well as an instructor and academic coordinator in the Vice-Rectorship of Continuing Education (VEC) nationwide in Mexico, in programs such as LIVE digital marketing, LIVE change management, the digital leader, WOW Virtual service design, and personal digital branding. He also coordinates the Digital Marketing Strategist and e-Commerce Strategist tracks for the self-learning platform The Learning Gate (TLG).
Academic Experience
With over 30 years of experience, he has been a professor and executive education instructor.
In 2013, he authored the eBook: "Technology and Marketing" for the Tecnológico de Monterrey Digital Publishing House.
Currently, he teaches courses such as Digital Commerce and Sales, Design of Marketing Metrics and Indicators, Building Market Solutions, Decision Analysis, Omnichannel Experience Design, Forecasting for Decision Making, and Digital Marketing for the marketing and analytics department at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
He has been repeatedly recognized as the best professor of his generation and has received awards such as "Professor Who Left a Mark" (2023) and "Inspirational Professor" (2018).
