Tijerina-Priego, Abraham

Overview

Abraham Tijerina Priego is Leader of Business Developers of the Research and Postgraduate Office of the School of Engineering and Sciences of Tec de Monterrey (www.tec.mx Links to an external site.), Founding Partner of the Council of Leaders in Innovation and Technology (www.quriogroup.com Links to an external site.), and Leader of the Innovation, Technology and Digital Transformation Subcommittee of the Nuevo León Council for Strategic Planning (www.conl.mx Links to an external site.). Previously, Mr. Tijerina coordinated the Nuevo León 4.0 Initiative (www.nuevoleon40.org Links to an external site.) established on May 30, 2017. Previously, from May 1992 to December 2019, he led the Innovation Management process at Metalsa (www.metalsa.com Links to an external site.), a world leader in the manufacture of structural components for light vehicles and commercial trucks. He joined Metalsa as a Technology Engineer and over the years he developed the Engineering and Product Technology area as well as the integration and management of the Innovation Project Portfolio, the Intellectual Property of the organization, as well as the Conceptualization, Design and Establishment of the Innovation and Development Center of Competitive Advantages of Metalsa in Michigan (USA), and at the Technological Research and Innovation Park (PIIT) of Nuevo León, both of them dedicated to the Development of Technology and Innovation of components, materials and manufacturing processes for automotive structures. Abraham Tijerina is a Mechanical Engineer (IM'90) from the Faculty of Engineering and Electrical Mechanics (FIME) of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL) and Master in Mechanical Engineering (MIM'92) with a Specialty in Design from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM). He has a Diploma in Senior Management from IPADE (D1) and has been a member of the American Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the Nuevo León Nanotechnology Cluster, the Industrial Research Institute " (IRI), of the Nuevo Leon Automotive Cluster (CLAUT), of the Council of the Center for Linkage and Technological Transfer (CVT) of CAINTRA and president of the international organization "Intelligent Manufacturing System" (IMS).
