Alcantar-Nieblas, Carolina

Overview

Dr. Carolina Alcántar Nieblas is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for the Future of Education at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where she contributes to international projects focused on educational innovation, sustainability, and complex thinking. She holds a Ph.D. in Education from the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa (PNPC-CONACYT) and a Master¿s in Educational Research from the Instituto Tecnológico de Sonora. She stands out for her empathetic leadership, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills, which enable her to build and guide interdisciplinary teams in multicultural settings. Carolina has collaborated in European and Latin American initiatives such as Erasmus+ Women Maker STEM, DigiUGov, and Complex Thinking Education for All (CTE4A), promoting the integration of technology, equity, and open education. Author of multiple journal articles and book chapters, her research addresses digital competencies, pedagogical innovation, social entrepreneurship, and educational well-being. She is a member of the National System of Researchers (2024¿2027) and has received distinctions such as the UNESCO-ICHEI Higher Education Digitalization Pioneer Case (2023) and the Reimagine Education Gold Award (2024).
