Almazán-Morales, Desdémona

I´m Desdemona Almazan and proudly ExATec. I´ve been working at Tec de Monterrey for 21 years. I have had the opportunity to prove myself in different roles such as director of support services, student advisor, full time professor, head of the academic business department and academic division director (Engineering and Business). I´ve worked at 4 campus, Monterrey, Cuernavaca, Central de Veracruz and Saltillo. Some of the projects I´ve developed while in Campus Monterrey are the creation of an online international business center operated by students, the implementation of the business incubators in Monterrey and in all the campus in Mexico. In Cuernavaca I coordinated the liason and agreements with important multinational and regional companies for clinicas empresariales. And also I was responsible for the academic credentials for CACECA for LIN & LEM. In Campus Central de Veracruz I was the leader for the implementation of Modelo de Universidad Integrada with Campus Puebla, and in charge for the process of credentials of LAE, LIN, LEM for CACECA & IIS for CACEI. We also obtained the Academic Excelence in CENEVAL for LAE and IIS. In August 2016 I had the role of designer, professor and mentor of Semestre i Concentración en Logística Internacional Portuaria with Administración Portuaria Integral del Estado de Veracruz (APIVER), la Escola Europea de Short Sea Shipping y el Puerto de Barcelona. In Saltillo I coordinated Semana i with Asociación de Agentes Aduanales en Veracruz and I had the role of designer and professor of Semestre i Abastecimiento Global en la Industria Automotriz with General Motors. In January 2019 I´m responsible of Concentración en Logística with TenarisTamsa and the Consejo Empresarial Mexicano de Comercio Exterior (Comce Veracruz). I teach entrepreneurship and international business. My actual position is as Academic Director of the Business School in Campus Saltillo. I have a degree in internacional business, a master in business administration and a master on business, entrepreneurship and Technology from University of Waterloo.
