Overview

He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems from the National University of Australia and a Master's degree in Information Technology Management. He has been an Executive at the Tecnológico de Monterrey since 1998, occupying various positions such as: Coordinator of Human Resources Information Systems, Director of the Master's in the International Business Program, Professor of Information Systems, and Dean of the School of Business and Engineering. From March to July 2014, he was the Academic Head at the Tecnológico de Monterrey within the Vice-Presidency of the Western Zone, supporting the 11 campuses in the region (Aguascalientes, Guadalajara, Irapuato, León, Morelia, Obregón, San Luis, Sinaloa, Sonora Norte, Querétaro, and Zacatecas). He was General Director of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Morelia Campus, from July 2014 to December 2017. Throughout his professional career, he has worked on projects related to digital marketing, digital transformation, service management, quality management, and strategic negotiations. He has developed consulting projects and continuing education courses for companies such as Grupo Arcoiris, Tenaris Tamsa, Grupo Bafar de Chihuahua, Grupo Tepeyac de Obregón, Grupo Selecta de Hermosillo, ArcelorMittal, Marves de México, TecMilenio, IBM México, Kelloggs México, Cinépolis México, BBVA México, among others. His professional experience has led him to be invited as a consultant to various companies, including the Ministry of Tourism of Michoacán, the Ministry of Public Education of Michoacán, the State Council for Open and Distance Education in Michoacán, and the Federal Electricity Commission of Michoacán, among others. He has been a visiting professor at universities in the United States, Colombia, France, Chile, Peru, and China. His research has been published in business and information systems journals. He is currently the Director of the International Business Department in the western region, managing the academic activity of the international business department at the campuses in Guadalajara, Querétaro, Puebla, Morelia, Saltillo, Hidalgo, Obregón, Tampico, and Cuernavaca.
