Overview

I studied a B.A. in Applied Linguistics with emphasis in Translation at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. I started working as an English Teacher at Tecnologico de Monterrey in 1989. In 1991, I started a Master's degree in Education specializing en English as Second Language. I have taught Remedial and Advanced English courses, as well as TOEFL and BULATS preparation courses to students, professors, and in extension programs. I was an academic and administrative coordinator of the English center from 2000 to 2007. I have also been the academic coordinator of Remedial English V since 2010. I graduated from the Master's in Educational Technology at Universidad TecVirtual in 2014. I have participated as a speaker in congresses such as TESOL, College Board, CIIE, etc. I have also designed online English courses for TecMilenio and SEP. Currently, I participate as an editor of the Spanish magazine Comunicar and I am member of the reviewing committee of CILEX. In addition, I am teaching the course 'Estructuras Simbólicas de la Imágen, la literatura y la Música which belongs to the Tec21 plan.
