Overview
Claudia Tamayo Castro is an architect, graduated in 1997 from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Mexico City Campus. She has a Master in Business Administration (MBA) at Thunderbird, School of Global Management, in Phoenix, Arizona, conducting an Internship in Tokyo, Japan. By consolidating the MBA, she obtained a recognition from Ingenieros Civiles Asociados (ICA), for her performance during the master's degree. She has an additional postgraduate degree in Global Business Administration, through the Graduate School of Business Administration and Management (EGADE), which she studied at Campus Monterrey and Campus Mexico City.
Claudia's expertise has been accentuated as a direct consultant in real estate investment projects. She has worked for GE Commercial Finance Real Estate -America's Equity, through the Marx | Okubo Consulting in the subsidiary in Mexico, as a specialist in Due Diligence Services, Project Management, Administration of funding, Valuation of Real Estate Condition, Financial Analyst for Construction and Monitoring of funding granted by banking institutions for construction in Mexico.
Claudia Tamayo has also worked as Project Director at "Warner Bros. Studio Café" MR, official licensee of Warner Bros. Consumer Products - Mexico, a Division of Warner Home Video; as Project Manager in the global hotel chain InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and has experience in Project Management in Panama, the United States, Spain and the Czech Republic, in the field of Hospitals of the Valencian Institutes of Infertility. At the local level, she has managed Projects in Acapulco, Campeche, Monterrey and Mexico City, in the Residential and Office areas. Claudia has worked in turn, independently with her own company in the areas of Design, Construction, Supervision and Project Management, and her main clients are the British firm BT and Grupo Financiero Inbursa.
Claudia Tamayo's teaching experience began in 2008 in her alma mater. She has been in charge of the Social Service Clinic of "Rehabilitation of Urban and Architectural Spaces" where she has developed real architectural projects (linked to industry) with students of the Architecture career through the Institute for Sustainable Social Development at ITESM, Mexico City Campus.
Claudia is a member of the winning team of the National Interior Design Award in the Institutional Category awarded to the Ivi Mexico Project; and is also a Member of the ITESM Alumni Association; Thunderbird Alumni Mexico City Chapter; Business Networking T-Birds; Thunderbird Alumni and the Global MBA for Latin American Managers.
Claudia is constantly trained to perfect the English language and has been updated on topics of her profession with the College of Civil Engineers of Mexico, A.C. She has completed Seminars on Sustainable Construction and Transversal Sustainability. She recently completed a Diploma in Management Skills and a Seminar for Obtaining Resources from Federal Programs and International Funds at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico City Campus. She graduated in December 2014, from the Diploma in Real Estate Law at the Escuela Libre de Derecho. Claudia attends every year Real Estate Seminars to update the trends, hard data of the industry and identify new opportunities and growth niches in the different socioeconomic levels of the country; she is passionate about analyzing the projections for the next years in the real estate market.
