Elías-Espinosa, Milton Carlos

Overview

Dr. Milton Carlos Elias Espinosa obtained his doctorate, majoring in mechanical engineering from the Instituto Politecnico Nacional of Mexico. Dr. Elias has worked for the Tecnologico de Monterrey, Campus Santa Fe, since August 2008. He is currently assistant professor. Since January 2016, he is national investigator with level 1. Currently, Dr. Elias works on thermochemical treatments: mathematical modeling of diffusion of boron and nitrogen on steels, characterization of boriding and nitriding layers, by the method of packaging. He has published more than 30 articles in international journals and conferences. From November 2015 he is invited professor of the Research Group Strategic Focus on Nanomaterials, ITESM. From 2015 is a member of the Thematic Network Surface Engineering and Tribology of CONACyT.
Dr. Milton Carlos Elías Espinosa obtained a doctorate degree, with a specialty in mechanical engineering, from the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico. Dr. Elías has worked for Tecnologico de Monterrey, Santa Fe Campus, since August 2008. Currently, he is Associate Director of Mechanics and Advanced Materials. He is a National Level 1 SNII-CONAHCYT Researcher and Member of the Thematic Network of Surface Engineering and Tribology of REDISYT-CONAHCYT. Dr. Elías's Topics of research are thermochemical treatments: mathematical modeling of the diffusion of boron and nitrogen, characterization of borated and nitrided layers on steels, by the packing method. He has published more than 80 articles in international journals and conferences. He is a reviewer for various international and national research journals. He was a Member of the Strategic Approach Research Group on Nanomaterials at Tecnologico de Monterrey. And currently he is an Associate Researcher of the Advanced Manufacturing Group of the School of Engineering and Sciences of the Tecnologico de Monterrey.
