Martínez-Martínez, Manuel

Is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Director of Division at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Tampico. Dr. Martínez holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Institute National Des Sciences Appliquées from Toulouse, France (2002) and an M.Sc. in Manufacturing Systems from Tecnologico de Monterrey (1994). He has been the Director of the Department of Mechanics and Advanced Materials in the North Region of Tecnologico de Monterrey among multiple other leadership and directive positions. Dr. Martínez has worked with local and international companies in research and consulting projects. Member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) from 2005 to 2007, Dr. Martinez has been part of the research groups of Mechatronics and Biomedical Devices at Tecnologico de Monterrey. Dr. Martinez has published and presented works at international forums as well as propelled the development of patents. Dr. Martínez has been awarded with the Novus Grant 2013, 2014 and 2016, and was awarded as Inspiring Professor by Tecnologico de Monterrey in 2015.
