Escamilla-Escalante, Olga Patricia

Overview

Olga Patricia Escamilla Escalante obtained her degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the Tecnológico de San Luis in 1989. She worked in the area of ¿¿computer auditing at the company PRONAPADE, S.A. of C.V. in the city of San Luis Potosí (1990-1992). He completed a master's degree in Information Systems Administration (MASI), with a specialization in Software Engineering from ITESM, Monterrey Campus (1992-1994), collaborating in the Computer Research Center (CII) as a research assistant, developing software engineering for: Cervecería Cuauhtémoc, Bancomer, Hylsa and Grupo Conductores Monterrey. She works as a full professor in the Computing Department of ITESM, Mexico City Campus (1994-1997). She worked as project leader and consultant in the Design and Implementation of help desk projects and systems development (1998-1999) in the company OpenSol, S.A. de C.V., based in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León. In 1999, she joined again as a full professor in the Computing Department of ITESM, Mexico City Campus. Later, she served as Director of the Master's program in Information Systems Administration (MATI) at ITESM-CCM (1999-2001) and as Director of the Computer Systems Engineering career (1999-2004). She later joined the Computing Department as a full professor, supporting subjects in the areas of information systems and systems analysis and design, software engineering, and also collaborating on projects in the Computing Department. In April 2009, she took the position of Director of the Computing Department of the School of Engineering and Architecture of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico City Campus (2009-2015). She is currently a full-time professor in the Department of Computing, with an early stage teaching classification of hers and currently applying for my 2022-2023 teaching classification. She founder and tutor of the student group "Ada Women" CCM from 2018 to date (2022). She is CDMX Regional Coordinator of the Beautiful Patterns project from 2019 to date. Member of the MIC mentor and link committee.
