Dr. Jorge Mejía Méndez graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of the Americas Puebla, Mexico. He recently earned his PhD in Molecular Biomedicine from the same institution, receiving the Magna Cum Laude distinction. In research, Dr. Mejía has published several articles in international journals such as Ultrasonics Sonochemistry, Journal of Hazardous Materials, and Journal of Nanobiotechnology, and has participated in numerous national and international conferences related to microbiological, pharmacological, phytochemical, and nanotechnology research. In these areas, Dr. Mejía actively collaborates with national and international groups in the training of undergraduate and graduate students. For his academic achievements, Dr. Mejía received the National Researcher Level I recognition from the National System of Researchers. Currently, he is a PostDoc Researcher at Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Querétaro where, in collaboration with Nestlé and the Food Safety Group, he implements metabolomic and nanotechnological techniques for the nutraceutical and bromatological analysis of dairy products and complex inorganic samples.
