abstract
- One of the main concerns about using artificial intelligence (AI) tools in academic activities is the possibility of acts of academic dishonesty due to the features that allow students to bypass various steps in preparing original works for submission. In this study, a class of International Relations students on the State of Mexico Campus at Tecnologico de Monterrey significantly improved in developing research competencies using AI tools without dishonest acts among the students in the experimental group. The study concluded that dishonesty does not stem from using the tools; the methodology can help avoid such acts. © 2025 IEEE.
