Today, our world requires decisive action to address the consequences of pollution and climate change. Education emerges as an essential tool for empowering individuals with the knowledge, skills, and principles necessary to execute these meaningful actions. Integrating sustainability principles in university education is increasingly required to change the thinking and behavior of new generations, especially business school students, who will be future business leaders. Ecological intelligence comprises systems thinking, critical thinking, eco-philosophy, holistic perspective, collective lifestyle, and shared cultural goods and promotes long-term behavioral changes. Its three dimensions are holistic, social, and economic intelligence. This research aimed to investigate the ecological intelligence level of university students about to graduate. The Ecological Intelligence scale was applied to 82 university students. Only the social dimension of the students¿ ecological intelligence had a significantly significant result. The contribution of this study lies in putting into perspective what is being done in this area by university education and evaluating whether the actions undertaken are adequate to face sustainability challenges. © 2025 IEEE.
