- This work in progress (WIP) reports on a pilot study of an OBEXcel teaching and learning outcomes project. In this pilot project, we considered Consejo de Acreditación de la Enseñanza de la Ingenieria (CACEI) evaluation criteria in assessing the correlations between Outcome-Based Education (OBE) variables and the graduating attribute. We designed and applied an online Google Forms questionnaire in March 2025. The respondents were enrolled undergraduate engineering students in industrial physics at Tecnologico de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey. The WIP statistical analysis results confirm that academic progress, counseling, and tutoring are significantly correlated with graduating attributes. The undergraduate engineering students in the study valued counseling and tutoring more highly than academic progress as graduating attributes. The validation of the CACEI instruments helped us deepen our understanding and successfully integrate the OBEXcel pilot study to improve teaching and learning processes.
