  • © 2019 IEEE.One of the most accentuated characteristics in the current educational models has to do with integral and multidisciplinary training of people. The barriers and limits that we once took for granted, in and among the various academic disciplines, have been blurring to such a degree that it is difficult to speak today of a single discipline that does not collaborate with another one for the achievement of significant learning and meaning, by both goals and competency. In this contribution, we are interested in presenting a reflection on the interdisciplinary work among some subjects of basic sciences, engineering and humanities (specifically, ethics and citizenship) in the Tecnologico de Monterrey University in the professional area. Our objective is to disseminate the importance of interdisciplinary work among the human sciences, mathematics and basic sciences and, above all, to highlight the importance of transversal competency in the formation of critical thinking in the student.
