abstract
© copyright Environment and Climate Change Canada. This work is the continuation of the development and preliminary manufacture of an exoskeleton for lower extremities with 5 degrees of freedom, from the established design parameters the prototype was manufactured, an analysis of the finite element was made using ANSYS mechanical and Solidworks for the mechanical design with the purpose of studying the mechanical behavior of the structure when subjected to stresses and deformations. Within the simulations, another type of material was exchanged so that the future manufacture is made with lighter materials and with the possibility of being manufactured using 3D printing, the materials proposed for this experimentation were PLA, ABS and PLA with carbon fiber the mechanical behavior of these materials was compared with that of an exoskeleton currently manufactured with aluminum.
