- © 2019 IEEE.This work presents the modelling of a three-level quadratic boost converter. The dynamical model obtained for the converter turns out to be of non-minimal phase, which limits to a slow transient response, requiring the application of a cascade control. Hence, the present work is aimed to search and identify the model parts associated to each of the control loops involved in such a cascade controller. In the modelling process, the series resistors of the capacitors of the topology were considered with the aim to obtain a theoretical model as close as possible to the real system. Numerical results have been included for the model validation.
