abstract
- Our research surveys an inventory issue for a multi-tier supply system with one supplier, one producer as well as some homogenous sellers. This research proposes three different managerial structures of supply system named as a non-integrated, an integrated and a semi-integrated. The semi-integrated is a novel structure of the supply system which is the combination of the non-integrated and the integrated structures. The demand is sensitive to price where shortage is not allowed. The main purpose is to optimally obtain the decisions in order to improve the supply system performance. This model determines the price of the supplier and the producer, the number of ordered consignments for the producer and supplier, and the replenishment time of the sellers in presence of different structures. Finally, several numerical examples are solved; then, the effect of key parameters on the supply system profit is studied.
