abstract

  • Learning is present in every day of our lives, so we always continue learning throughout life. Lifelong learning (LLL) represents the opportunity to continue preparing ourselves day by day. With the rise of new technologies such as generative artificial intelligence (GAI), new challenges arise regarding the way we learn. In this sense, the starting point was the question: What are the characteristics of GAI that are located in the implementations of the educational field, in the present and future of the LLL? The study method is a systematic review of the literature, of the Scopus and Web of Science systems between January 2018 and October 2023. The most relevant data were screened using inclusion, exclusion and quality criteria and 2 study articles. The findings highlight (a) opportunities to explore both concepts (b) frameworks that bring together GAI and LLL and (c) LLL approached from the technological-pedagogical aspect. This paper calls on other researchers to make use of the concept of GAI in LLL, particularly as it is a nascent topic for the future of education. © 2024 Memorias de la Conferencia Iberoamericana de Complejidad, Informatica y Cibernetica, CICIC.
