- Digital Humanities (DH) is an emerging area of study that explores the intersection of technology and the humanities, gaining recognition through various conferences and academic programs. Its incorporation into higher education emphasizes collaborative, experiential approaches focusing on practical projects. This chapter provides a brief overview of DH¿s evolution, the knowledge fields it encompasses, and the skills humanities practitioners and learners develop when they meaningfully engage with DH as a field. It also examines innovative pedagogical methods and emerging trends like MOOCs, virtual reality, gamification, and citizen humanities while highlighting the importance of digital literacy and the development of interdisciplinary skills. The chapter aims to briefly offer instructors practical tools for the DH classroom and beyond.
