abstract

  • In an era where technology is reshaping global education, this project seeks to revolutionize teaching and learning by integrating Open Education, Open Research, and emerging technologies for that purpose. The goal is to develop capacity-building programmes for early-career educators, equipping them to foster innovative, equitable, and adaptive educational practices. Through personalized learning tools informed by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and neuroscience, the project will enhance engagement and outcomes by tailoring methodologies to individual student needs. It also aims to build essential global digital competencies, including proficiency in ethical technology use and digital citizenship, preparing students and educators for the evolving educational landscape. By promoting equity and inclusion, the project leverages Open Educational Resources and Practices (open educational resources (OER)/open education practices (OEP)) to bridge digital divides, especially in underserved regions like Latin America, advancing social justice. Institutional innovation will be driven through scalable solutions such as open platforms, XR toolkits, and professional development opportunities that encourage sustainable growth and cross-border collaboration. This initiative will provide validated toolkits, guidelines, and case studies to support widespread adoption of these practices, fostering global transformation in higher education. The project¿s multidisciplinary team brings over 60 years of expertise in education, research, and innovation, with leaders from Mexico, Spain, the Netherlands, and the UK. With strong institutional networks and a proven track record in educational reform, the team is uniquely positioned to create a replicable framework that empowers educators and institutions worldwide to lead in technology integration and teaching excellence.
