Dr. Efraín Soto Apolinar earned a Bachelor's degree in Energy Systems Engineering from the Autonomous University of Quintana Roo, a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, and a Doctorate in Educational Innovation from Tecnologico de Monterrey.
He is the author of several mathematics textbooks, including the SEP Baccalaureate Mathematics series, comprising volumes on (1) algebra, (2) plane geometry, (3) analytic geometry, and (4) functions, among other books. His research contributions to the field of mathematics education have been published in various academic outlets.
Dr. Soto is the founder of Aprende Matemáticas, an educational platform offering online courses in foundational mathematics for secondary, high school, and undergraduate students, as well as professional development programs for mathematics educators.
Since 2002, he has taught mathematics at the secondary and tertiary levels. At the university level, he has lectured in both Spanish and English, delivering regular and honors-level courses for engineering students.
