Martínez-Suárez, Julio César
Overview
Julio César Martínez Suárez has been a professor of International Business at Tecnológico de Monterrey since 2011. He holds a PhD in International Business from the University of South Carolina. Additionally, he earned a Master's degree in International Trade and Transport from London Metropolitan University, England, where his dissertation, "The effect of China on Mexico-EU Trade: A Comparative Advantage Assessment of Selected Manufacturing Industries," earned him the Best Dissertation 2008 award, granted by the Journal of Maritime Policy and Management.
His research focuses on the intersection of political risk and the global strategy of multinational companies. He is a member of the editorial board of the journal Cross-Cultural Management, as well as international academic groups such as the Strategic Management Society (SMS) and the Academy of International Business (AIB).
