Mendoza-Gómez, Rodolfo
Overview
He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (2008) and a Master of Science with a specialization in Industrial Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Toluca (2012). In 2018, he earned a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the same institution. Subsequently, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (2020-2022) under the mentorship of Dr. Roger Ríos, in the Graduate Programs in Systems Engineering.
He has seven years of teaching experience, having collaborated at various Tecnológico de Monterrey campuses, including Toluca, Santa Fe, CEM, and currently León, as well as at the Universidad de las Américas Puebla (UDLAP).
His professional experience includes roles in industry, working as a process analyst at TV Azteca (2008) and as a systems analyst at Grupo Elektra (2009).
From 2020 to 2023, he was a member of Mexico's National System of Researchers (SNI) at the Candidate level. His research focuses on decision-making models for resource planning in Mexico's public healthcare sector. He has published multiple articles in high-impact journals and has participated in national and international conferences.
Currently, he is a full-time professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus León, and a board member of the Mexican Society of Operations Research.
