Overview
I am a professor and researcher in energy efficiency in buildings at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, where I promote Net Zero Energy through passive and active design with energy simulation, optimizing comfort and lighting. Additionally, I incorporate Net Zero Carbon processes into research developments using alternative, innovative and efficient materials. I have a master's degree in Energy Administration and Renewable Sources, with honorable mention of excellence, and I am currently pursuing a doctorate in Engineering Sciences, with a line of research in thermal storage in the envelope of buildings with phase change materials (PCM).
As a consultant, I have collaborated in projects to optimize building envelopes to improve their energy and environmental performance, without leaving aside the economic aspect, for this I use energy simulation and CFD tools. I have participated in national and international research and innovation projects related to energy efficiency, decarbonization, materials science and ecodesign. I have given several conferences, advised innovation projects and written scientific articles on these topics. My mission is to contribute to the development of zero-emission buildings that provide comfort, health and well-being to their occupants, and that respect the environment and natural resources. All this as a key piece to advance the decarbonization of the built environment.
