Dr. Martha Corrales is Head of EGADE Business School's Case Research Center and a Full Professor in Business Innovation based on Information Technologies at EGADE Business School, Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico.
She is since 1997 active member of the National Research Council, Level 1.
Martha got his PhD degree with major in Management Information Systems in a joint program with UT Austin in 1997. She received a MBA, a master's degree in Science with major in MIS, and a Bachelor degree in MIS from Tecnologico de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey
Martha Corrales spent a sabbatical in 2003-2004 as a Visiting Professor at WHU, Otto Beisheim Graduate School of Management at the Herbert Quandt Endowed Chair for International Management, Center for Management Studies in Latin America (CMLA) in Vallendar/Koblenz, Germany, where she did teaching and field work on German Companies doing business in Latin America. She did research for CEMEX Switzerland in Brügg on business transformation based on open business model.
Martha Corrales has participated as a member in joint research projects with FP7 and Alfa Projects based on ICT. Her current line of research is Open Innovation and ICT for Health, specifically with the adoption of Electronic Health Record for Telemedicine and Telehealth.
Her research lines had been in the areas of open innovation based on IT; media convergence and new business models and value chains for health and education; collaboration models and virtual work models; effectiveness in distance learning; innovation systems and industrial clusters and their impact in the digital economy.
