Melón-Jareda, María Elena

María Elena Melón Jareda. Professor of the Animation and Digital Art Department at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Querétaro, Mexico. Computer Systems Engineer from Teconológico de Monterrey. Master in Computer Science with a specialty in Computer Graphics from Tecnológico de Monterrey. She currently teaches classes at the same institution in the city of Querétaro in the areas of 3D Modeling, 3D Animation, Programming Fundamentals, Physical Interfaces and Interactive Media. She participates as a member of the Passion for Reading committee that promotes reading at Campus Querétaro. She has conducted research on the use of Alternative Reality Games (ARG) and virtual environments in education. The link between art, science and technology is of interest to her, especially in interactive art installations that make use of new digital technologies such as sensors, augmented reality and mobile devices.
