I am a full-time professor in the Department of Sciences at Tecnológico de Monterrey, with more than 20 years of university teaching experience and a strong background in pure and applied mathematics, including postgraduate studies in discrete dynamical systems and generalisations of complex analysis applied to mathematical physics.
My professional career integrates two complementary dimensions: academia and business consultancy based on mathematical models. Since 2015, I have worked as an independent consultant, applying linear and nonlinear optimisation models, descriptive and inferential statistical analysis, and multivariable mathematical modelling to study organisational climate, organisational development, business productivity, and aggregate production planning. I have conducted studies for companies such as Mecatronix Automation, ALIA Sky Living, CADHU, and Embalajes Winpak de México, designing measurement instruments, quantitative analyses, and data-driven strategic proposals to support decision-making. I have also applied mathematical modelling to digital marketing strategies and operational optimisation, using tools such as MATLAB, R, and Python.
In the academic sphere, I have led the curricular design of several courses and analytical programmes within the Tec21 educational model in the Data Science and Mathematics Engineering programme, including subjects in cryptography, dynamical systems, and multivariable integration. I actively promote innovative teaching methodologies such as gamification, challenge-based learning, and the integration of generative artificial intelligence in the teaching of mathematics and engineering.
I have presented at international conferences in Europe and Latin America and am the author of publications in the fields of mathematical physics and mathematics education. My pedagogical and professional approach is characterised by connecting mathematical modelling with real-world problems¿both industrial and social¿encouraging students to develop critical thinking, interpret complex scenarios, and make decisions grounded in quantitative evidence.
