Escárcega-Centeno, David Alejandro

Overview

Dr. Escárcega has a master's degree in Information Technology from the Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Cuernavaca. He obtained a doctorate in Computer Science with a specialty in Bioinformatics at the Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Cuernavaca and the Université du Québec à Montréal. He has developed as a consultant in different areas and in projects of the public and private initiative. He has patented various mobile software products and collaborates on virtual reality and augmented reality projects. He participates in health projects applying mobile technologies to support the study of the frailty of the elderly and in childhood obesity problems. He develops as a technology advisor in the use and implementation of solutions based on artificial intelligence for various companies. He is the titular instructor of the Specialty Courses Program that Tecnológico de Monterrey has on Coursera, on Application Development for iOS Devices, in course 1 entitled "Swift: programming for iOS". Currently, he is a tenured professor in the computing department of the Mexico City Campus and is responsible for the Internet of Things laboratory on the Campus.
