Gamez-Bustamante, Velda Abigail

Overview

Velda Gámez is a PHD in Law candidate by the Universidad Autónoma de Durango (UAD); with a Master's degree in Psychosocial Therapy, BA. In Social Psychologist and BA in Law by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She has worked as teacher, academic coordinator and educational psychologist at different institutions, both public and private at all educational levels, with special focus on students from Highschool up to postgraduate students, including online education. She has developed several programs based on harmonious coexistence, social and family integration in different institutions at High School level. On the institutional level, she has developed several programs for institutional development, leading national certification and accreditation processes for academic programs at Graduate levels. She has collaborated on the development and delivery of faculty development programs, quality assurance programs and curriculum design to assess, design, and curriculum update. As of 2013, Velda Gamez has been certified by the Dirección General de Tecnológicos Nacionales de México of the Secretaría de Educación Pública and by the Dirección de Educación Continua of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México, working as part of the faculty development team for public institutions on different educational models. As a teacher, she has worked as research teacher in the fields of Cybernetic Law and the unification of Procedural Law both at national and international levels for the prosecution of cybernetic crimes as well as researching on topics related with gender equality, gender and re-victimization by socialization of women by digital means.
