Elizondo-Jiménez, Lucía

Overview

Lucia Elizondo received her architecture title from the Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2000, a Master's Degree in Design Studies from Harvard Graduate School of Design in 2002, and a Ph.D. in Humanistic Studies from the Tecnológico de Monterrey with the distinction of Outstanding Thesis in 2021. She has been a professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey since 2002 and a member of its Territorial and Urban Development Research Group. Her research, which addresses the study of the appropriation of housing, elucidating the dynamics between the inhabitant, his house, and its effects on both, has been presented in different academic forums in Mexico and abroad and published in prestigious international academic journals. She was recently awarded the National Housing Award in the Research Work category by the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial, and Urban Development of Mexico (SEDATU).
