Torrero-Martínez, Ramiro

Overview

Mr. Ramiro Torrero Martínez has over 9 years of experience at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he serves as the Director of Entry to Exploration in Engineering and the Director of the Industrial and Systems Engineering program. He accumulates more than 10 years in the Automotive Industry, having worked in companies such as Delphi Mechatronics Systems, Continental, PEMSA, and Aptiv Connection Systems in roles including Resident, Problem-Solving Supervisor, Engineer, and Quality Engineering Supervisor, as well as Quality Science Engineer. He is recognized for his multiple academic certifications, including Six Sigma Yellow, Green, and Black Belt, Shainin Red X, and Core Tools. Recently, he was honored as Distinguished Professor by the university-business linkage council of the state of Coahuila. His areas of expertise include engineering and education, continuous improvement, manufacturing problem solving, and industry-academia linkage. Member of the SAE and the operations committee of the CIAC Automotive Industry Cluster of Coahuila, he has been rated as the best-rated professor by students in the ECOA from 2021 to 2025. Additionally, he has designed and delivered workshops to attract high school students to TEC¿s engineering programs and has participated in course design and evaluation at the institution. He excels in communication, academic advising, and follow-up in engineering programs.
