I am a Ph.D. with a focus on Psychology and a Master of Science with a focus on Health Psychology, from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a Clinical emphasis, from the Universidad de Occidente.
I completed a Postdoctoral Research stay in the PhD. in Clinical Sciences at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences of Tecnológico de Monterrey, at the same time that I joined the undergraduate program of Clinical and Health Psychology, as a professor and clinical supervisor.
I was a member of the National System of Candidate Level Researchers from 2016 to 2019. I have carried out research stays at the Universidad de Valencia, Spain and at the Valencian Institute of Oncology Foundation.
I am a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), as well as the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS). In addition, I am the author of various scientific articles in the area of health psychology and educational innovation, published in indexed international journals. My lines of research are "Psychosocial variables related to health, educational innovation in psychology and psychological well-being in university students." I have international training in contextual therapies, among which the following stand out: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Behavioral Therapy. of Behavioral Activation. In 2018, I obtained a scholarship to attend the ACBS World Conference, in Montreal, Canada, being the first Mexican to obtain this scholarship.
Currently, I am the national director of the Clinical and Health Psychology program and a professor of the same program at Campus Monterrey. I have actively participated in the development and implementation of Semana i projects since 2016 and am part of the Academic Career Aspects Team (EAAC), in which I have participated in the development of the 2019 Clinical and Health Psychology program and leader of this team since 2022, now leading the redesign of 2019 curricula. In 2023, I obtained the recognition of EMCS Outstanding Teachers, as well as obtaining NOVUS 2023 funds for the implementation of the educational innovation project: "The agnosia's enigma".
