PhD. Anabel Velásquez Durán. Mexican. Postdoctoral researcher at Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios Superiores en Antropología Social (CIESAS) of Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACyT) in Mexico. Postgraduate professor at the Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM). General Director of the Medición Independiente de Aprendizajes ¿ MIA Program (CIESAS and Universidad Veracruzana), which is part of the PAL Network (south-south association working in Africa, Asia and America). PhD. in Educational Systems and Environments (PNPC), Master in Virtual Education (PNPC) and Bachelor in Administrative Computer Systems from the Universidad Veracruzana, graduating with academic excellence in each educational program. Her lines of research revolve around technology-mediated learning: learning strategies in virtual, online or multimodal modalities, online education and training, and adaptation and integration of technological systems in education. She has been general coordinator of international research projects funded by the Hewlett Foundation, Tinker Foundation, PAL Network, the Laboratory for Research and Innovation in Education for Latin America and the Caribbean (SUMMA) of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and UNICEF. Thesis advisor at Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo (UAEH), Tecnológico de Monterrey and Centro de Investigación e Innovación en Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación (INFOTEC-CONACyT). She has done research stays at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and at the UNESCO/ICDE. She is a member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI-1) of CONACyT and the Consejo Mexicano de Investigación Educativa (COMIE). She is an external training agent with Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social (STPS) certification of mexican goverment and a member of PAL Network. She has 18 years of professional experience, including human resources training in higher and postgraduate education; training and education management in private companies in eLearning areas, creating and implementing innovative methodologies to generate personalized, delocalized, digital and interactive learning processes; business consulting for the implementation of online corporate universities; coordination of online course development for Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES) and strategic direction in ICT. She is author and co-author of articles in indexed journals and book chapters, as well as speaker at national and international conferences and invited to world education forums.
