López-Palau, Nelida Elizabeth

Overview

For more than eight years I have been researching and modeling the blood glucose dynamics of patients with type II diabetes as well as developing mathematical controllers for the insulin pumps (i. e. artificial pancreas). Through my research, I gained experience in designing and improving controls using robust techniques, data acquisition, system identification and numerical simulations in Matlab/Simulink. Furthermore, I have currently some scientific papers under review as well as some published articles of scientific divulgation. Working in a research group requires me to have teamwork skills as well as being organized and analytical.
