Silveyra-León, Geraldina
Overview
Geraldina Silveyra graduated with a degree in business administration from the Tecnológico de Monterrey. She completed a master's degree in humanistic studies with a specialty in applied ethics, and another in Business Administration, both from the Virtual University of Tecnológico de Monterrey. She has a Doctorate in Business and Management of Business Activity with application to SMEs, Entrepreneurship and Family Business by the University of Catabria.
Since 2004 she teaches at the Tec de Monterrey and has served as a mentor in the business incubator since 2009. She has founded 3 companies. She has participated as a consultant in different companies such as CEMEX in different countries of South America, the University of Lima, among others. She was a member of the Chair of Entrepreneurship at the Base of the Pyramid (2012-2014). She has been invited as a lecturer at the Polytechnic University of Ecuador and as a guest professor at the Montpellier Business School. She has participated in the design of entrepreneurship methodologies (educational and models that facilitate entrepreneurs' creation of their companies) and has the Lego Serious Play Certification. She is an active member of the Incubator Network of Jalisco (REDJAL). She has published three chapters focused on entrepreneurship competencies.
As of January 2012, she served as director of the Bachelor of Creation and business development at the same time directed the academic department of entrepreneurship at the Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Toluca. And in January 2015, she joined the Campus Guadalajara as a full-time professor. From February 2016 to December 2018 she directed the business incubator of this institution. Currently, she is the coordinator of the semester i of innovative entrepreneurship and is a full-time professor.
