Rogelio Leal is Research Fellow in the School of Social Sciences and Government, Department of Political Science and International Relations at Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico. He holds a joint PhD in Political Science & China Studies from King’s College London and the National University of Singapore. Rogelio has spent academic sojourns at the University of Oxford, Peking University, and University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and has been visiting scholar at the University of Miami and the National Autonomous University of Mexico. His research interests include Confucianism, Chinese political thought, ethical governance, global affairs, and statecraft, security, and diplomacy. He has been awarded academic grants by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, the Center for Chinese-Mexican Studies, the Puentes Consortium, and the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. Other of his professional services and associations include regional book review editor of the Journal of Chinese Philosophy, member of the International Society for Chinese Philosophy, and general secretary of the Mexican Association of Political Science.
