I studied a bachelor degree and a master degree in Physics at UG (Universidad de Guanajuato). Soon after finishing my master degree, I moved to England for my PhD degree, where I worked in the Centre for Colloid and Interface Science. After completing my PhD, I moved to Paris for my first postdoc at Université Paris-Sud, which ended up taking me to my second postdoc in the same institution. Now, back in Mexico, I want to continue my career as a soft matter scientist and also educate the future leaders of Mexico.
I love teaching, and I always encourage students to look physics with a different lens. It is not only about equations and complicated concepts, they should understand what the physics (of a particular subject) means and how that applies to everyday life and the sort of situations they will encounter in their professional life.
