Jáuregui-Jáuregui, Jesús Antonio

Overview

I'm a chemical engineer with a master's and doctorate in chemical engineering. My undergraduate and graduate thesis work allowed me to gain experience with research projects and in the supervision of thesis candidates. As a result of this work, I have publications in the area of environmental biotechnology and the design of fermentative processes. My teaching experience began in 2000 and has been an experience that fills me with satisfaction. From the beginning, a characteristic of my teaching work has been the promotion of thinking skills instead of just memorizing knowledge and procedures. Over time, I have developed mentoring skills and that allows me to give better attention to my students because I can help them beyond the disciplinary aspects of a course. As a teacher, I like to try new things in my courses and that, besides the enrichment of my classes, has allowed me to present several papers in education conferences. On a more personal level, I am fascinated by reading and practicing astronomy as an amateur. I made my own telescope when I was 14 years old and since then I have enjoyed this noble hobby.
