During the conclusion of my master's degree, I worked as a Professor, focusing on Industrial Engineering and Systems Engineering courses and languages. During this time, one of the projects I coordinated was aimed to find new developing opportunities for a region, working in first instance with Tecnológico de Monterrey. The project was enhanced and adjusted, later on sold to the Guanajuato State Government and BBVA. Using as tools: Statistical data analysis and Focus Groups techniques. Development of a crop production simulation model using system dynamics. This was the topic of my Master's dissertation. In this project I worked with Frigorizados La Huerta, an enterprise focusing in agribusiness. The model centers on broccoli and simulates crop production in a multi-variable environment.
Later on I worked during four years in Frigorizados La Huerta as a Business Improvement Manager. I was focused on developing and sustaining the Quality Management System, running cost reduction projects and managing staff development activities.
Being a professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering since 2006, Andreas Koch is currently a full-time professor at the School of Engineering and Sciences of Tecnológico de Monterrey. In this position, in addition to teaching, he has designed several subjects and concentrations for the New Educational Model at a national level on topics such as Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0. He is also an expert consultant for companies in the region, highlighting the collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Secretariat of Economic Development, Science and Technology of Aguascalientes (SEDECYT). In addition, Andreas Koch is a member of the Competitiveness Committee of the Grupo de Industriales de Aguascalientes (GIA), a member of the Center for Research in Intelligent and Sustainable Logistics of Tecnológico de Monterrey (CSSL), a member of the Faculty Fellow Leadership Program of the School of Engineering and Sciences of Tecnológico de Monterrey and he also is an Official Translator for the Judicial Power of the State of Aguascalientes in the German - English and German - Spanish languages.
He has been awarded as outstanding professor in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 by Tecnológico de Monterrey.
