Reyes-Avendaño, Jorge Antonio

Overview

Ph.D. in Science with a specialization in Electronics from the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics, and Electronics (INAOE), where he earned the distinction for achieving the highest academic average in his cohort. He is currently a Professor and Researcher at Tecnológico de Monterrey, specializing in industrial automation and control systems. He is member of Mexico¿s National System of Researchers and has published several articles in peer-reviewed international journals. In 2018, he obtained the Executive Certification in the Industry 4.0 Training Program ¿Smart Engineering for Smart Industries¿ from RWTH Aachen University, Germany. He currently coordinates various university¿industry collaboration projects. As a member of the Mechatronics faculty, he has actively participated in industrial partnership initiatives, professional training programs for companies, and the supervision of engineering students professional internships. His research has focused on the interaction of electromagnetic waves with metamaterials and photonic crystals, resulting in multiple publications in international refereed journals. At present, his research lines include autonomous vehicles for industrial environments, energy-harvesting suspension systems, and the retrofitting of industrial equipment for integration into Industry 4.0 ecosystems.
