Overview
Pedro Carreón is a global business professional with a trajectory which combines public, private and non-profit institutions, leading him to a unique understanding of business and a 360 degree perspective of the world in which they operate, facilitating leaders and organizations to prosper in an entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Over the course of his professional life, he has supported multiple national and international investment projects here in Mexico though Tecnológico de Monterrey. He has collaborated as a consultant with the Center for Family Businesses, the Entrepreneurship Institute and the Best Mexican Company Awards which are presented in partnership with Deloitte and Banamex.
His teaching and research activity are concentrated in the field of international business and entrepreneurship. His most recent works encompass the creation of new businesses and growth aspirations of Mexican entrepreneurs based on data primarily from the GEM (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor).
As a consequence of the above, his article entitled "The entrepreneurial capacity of Mexican states, a resource-based view" was recognised as the best paper of the entrepreneurship section of the XVI International Congress of Administrative Sciences (ACACIA) and was published in the journal Ciencias Administrativas, Teoría y Praxis. A second article "Growth aspirations in opportunity-driven entrepreneurship" was published in the report of the UNAM's XX Congreso Internacional de Contaduría, Administración e Informática.
His academic training is complemented by his participation in continuous development programs in universities, international organizations, government agencies, international associations, research centers and private business.
Dr. Carreón is currently Director of the MBA program at EGADE Business School, Guadalajara office.
