Dr. Cristian Jonathan Calderón Cervantes is a chemical engineer graduated from the University of Guadalajara, with an academic and professional career in the field of modeling, simulation and process control. He currently works as a full-time professor at the School of Engineering and Sciences of Tecnologico de Monterrey.
With a solid academic background that includes a Doctorate in Chemical Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, where he obtained honorable mention, Dr. Calderón has demonstrated his academic excellence and his ability to tackle high-level research projects. In addition to his training, Dr. Calderón has carried out an academic stay at the University of Waterloo in Canada, where he expanded his experience in the analysis and implementation of control strategies for dispersed phase reactors.
Professionally, Dr. Calderón has played key roles in leading companies such as AspenTech, where he has contributed to the development and improvement of simulation software, as well as the resolution of complex problems in dynamic and stationary systems. With outstanding skills in programming languages ¿¿such as Python, Fortran, C++ and C#, and a command of simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and Aspen Plus, Dr. Calderón demonstrates his versatility and ability to adapt to the changing demands of modern engineering.
His teaching experience at prestigious institutions such as the Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey reflects his dedication to training new generations of engineers and his ability to transmit his knowledge effectively.
