Overview
PhD in Psychology (Behavioral Neuroscience) at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. My dissertation considered the role of maternal sensitivity and a genetic factor in autism spectrum disorder severity as well as mother¿s neural response to infant faces. Prior to this, I obtained an MSc degree by University College London, Anna Freud Centre and Yale University where I investigated the neural response for social exclusion in the socially anxious youth. Inspired by these research experiences and by listening and studying families¿ distressful events, I became passionately interested in finding and developing projects related to youngster¿s mental health and well being. I am a member of the Society for Emotion and Attachment Studies and selected delegate for Mexico in the 2018 Future Leaders Connect Programme by the British Council. Interested in public policies on mental health awareness and improvement. I am currently the director of mentoring and wellbeing at Tecnológico de Monterrey high school.
