Overview
Associate Professor in the Accounting and Finance department, Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey. Got his PhD from Tecnológico de Monterrey, with doctoral studies at Carnegie Mellon University. Author of several papers (articles) for national and international peer-reviewed and indexed journals. Writes for El Financiero, and has contributed in El Economista, Milenio and El Norte. Was in charge of the research chair Markets and Financial Institutions. Participates occasionally in the Research and Development Congresses, organized by the Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he has also served as session coordinator. He took part in the EGADE faculty for the master's degree in Finance. In teaching, his main subjects are Investment Management and Computational Finance, and his main area of interest is Computational Finance and Analytics. He has been the highest rated teacher in his department for several semesters. He has been selected as professor of the generation of the Bachelor of Finance for several semesters since December 2011. He has been the representative of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, as a jury before the IMEF-Ernst & Young Award for Financial Research. He collaborates in activities with the MSCI group, a global financial leader. He has experience in the private, government and academic sectors. Born in Monterrey, he has a fondness for Aikido and fitness in general. He participates biweekly with the Philanthropic Development program.
