I earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL). I pursued a Master's and Ph.D. in Science with a Specialization in Basic Mathematics at the Center for Research in Mathematics (CIMAT) in Mexico, and I completed a research stay at the Institut Mathématique de Jussieu-Paris.
I worked as a lecturer and researcher at the Facultad de Ciencias Físico Matemáticas (FCFM-UANL) for seven years, and I am currently a full-time professor at the Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM).
My research areas include algebraic geometry, singularity theory, commutative algebra, mathematical modeling, operations research, optimization, and data science (TDA and machine learning).
I am part of the leadership team for the training and selection of participants in intra-university mathematics olympiads in the state of Nuevo León, as well as a member of the committee for university olympiads in Mexico.
