Overview
Dr. Iván Camps is a physicist graduated from the Science Faculty of UAEMex, has a Master's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the Materials Research Institute (IIM-UNAM) and a PhD in Physics of Light and Matter done at the Institute of Optics of the CSIC in Madrid, Spain. Between 2017 and 2022 he has carried out several postdoctoral stays, developing research projects related to photonic nanostructures, nanofibers for water treatmet, plasma studies and characterization of coatings manufactured by a novel arc discharge deposition technique. Currently he is a full time Research Professor at the Science Department in the School of Engineering and Sciences of the Tecnologico de Monterrey Campus Santa Fe. He is Member of the Mexican National System of Researchers (Sistema Nacional de Investigadores, SNI) Level 1. Among his main topics of interest are: nanostructure engineering, synthesis of thin films and nanoparticles, for applications of mechanical and photonic properties and environmental remediation.
