Overview
ARTURO E. CERON-LOPEZ was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He received a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics from Universidad de Monterrey, Mexico in 2009. He collaborated as Research Assistant at HTWG Konstanz, Germany from 2009 to 2010. He obtained a Master's and Doctoral degrees from the Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Department at Tokyo Institute of Technology (TokyoTech), Japan in 2012 and 2016 respectively. He has international Research & Development experience both in industry and academia, covering topics such as shape-memory alloys, vibration analysis, mechatronics, systems integration, middleware, control engineering, computer vision, synthetic images, artificial intelligence, and mobile service robots for infrastructure inspection. Also, he is an IEEE and RSJ Member, and has been a member of the Japan Chapter of the Red Global MX since its founding, coordinating several activities to promote education in science and engineering. He's currently a full-time lecturer in the Science and Engineering School, Department of Computer Science at the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), Mexico.
