Andrés holds a Ph.D. in Management (major in Finance) and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Research in Management, both from Universidad de Los Andes (Colombia). Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Bachelor in Public Accountancy from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC). His expertise also includes administrative positions such as Director of the Academic Program in Public Accountancy, Director of the Registrar's Office, and Financial Officer. He has expertise in consultancy in investment projects, corporate governance, accounting, and taxation. His research and academic interests relate to the financial economics and business economics areas. Some of the specific topics he has explored are corporate governance, capital markets, capital structure, and financial accounting. In his academic activities, his main goal is to establish relationships between teaching and research. He expects to contribute to the student's skills development.
