Rodríguez-Aguirre, Carlos Antonio

I am a Clinical and Health Psychologist, university professor, researcher, and academic coordinator. My professional career has focused on training future psychologists, designing educational experiences, coordinating professional practice settings, and developing initiatives aimed at addressing mental health needs. I currently work as a full-time professor and Coordinator for the Clinical and Health Psychology program at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences (EMCS) of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Monterrey campus. In this role, I coordinate the clinical training of students during their final year, as well as the placement, monitoring, and supervision of more than 25 clinical sites in Monterrey and its metropolitan area. I also participate in the national coordination and design of classes, the development of learning experiences and clinical simulations, and the coordination of continuing education programs and multidisciplinary projects. Since 2020, I have also been practicing as a clinical psychologist with adolescents and adults. My practice is grounded in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Contextual Therapies, focusing primarily on depression, anxiety, suicide risk, stress, relationship issues, etc. In the field of research, I have served as an author and co-author on national and international scientific publications on psychodermatology, depression, burnout, psychological well-being, and educational innovation. Regarding my academic background, I hold a Bachelor s degree in Psychology with honors from the Technological Institute of Sonora (ITSON). I also have two master s degrees: the first is a Master of Science with a concentration in Health Psychology from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL), and the second is a Master s degree in Contextual and Third-Generation Therapies from the University of Almería, Spain. During my undergraduate studies, I participated in an academic exchange program at the Universidad Católica del Norte in Chile, with an emphasis on community psychology and systemic therapy.
